For our team in Leonberg we are therefore looking for a

Design engineer (m/w/d)

Responsibilities:

Creation and development of constructions in mechanical and plant engineering
Creation of complicated designs based on standards, rules, customer requirements and specifications
Consultation and cooperation with the technical departments for the fulfillment of tasks and control with regard to technology, costs and deadlines
Acceptance/inspection of mechanical parts, assemblies, components and plants
Execution control of technical documents such as assembly and individual part drawings as well as parts lists
Determination and dimensioning of components and guarantee of correct interaction
Carrying out technical calculatons (e.g. service life, strength, wear, cycle time, etc.)
Independent processing of constructive scopes in compliance with the specified quality, deadling and cost frame
Administration and maintenance of technical documentation

Qualifications:

Successfully completed studies in the field of mechanical and plant engineering or completed training as a technical draftsman/ technical product designer with further training as a technician or a comparable qualification
Initial experience in design, ideally in plant construction
Technical understanding for the design of assemblies, equipment and functional units
Very good CAD skils (e.g. Siemens NX, CATIA V5 or comparable) as well as reliable user skills with ERP and PDM systems
Ability to present complex issues, especially technical interrelationships, systematic working style, analytical thinking skills
Good knowledge of German and English, other foreign languages (e.g. Chinese) are an advantage
Willingness to travel
